FRANCIS ELMER LINDELL

Francis Elmer Lindell, 70, from Pleasanton, Kan., died Sunday, May 20, 2012, as the result of a tractor accident.

He was born on June 9, 1941 at Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Elmer and Ada Goodenough Lindell. He graduated from Pleasanton High School and attended Kansas State University.

He married Donna Ary who preceded him in death on Feb. 28, 2005. He later married Nancy Benedict.

Lindell was a member of the First Christian Church in Pleasanton and also attended the Hammond United Methodist Church. He served on the Linn County Fair Board as a 4-H leader and was a member of the Kansas Livestock Association.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home; two sons, Scott Lindell of Pleasanton and Jim Lindell and Stacie of Conyers, Ga.; a daughter, Terese Crouse and Chad of Bel Aire, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Janna Cole and Jim of Gridley, Kan.; two brothers, Charles Lindell and Doris and Vernon Lindell and Roberta; a sister, Ruth Winterscheid and Gerald; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Littell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Pleasanton Chapel.
