RUTH LORENE AUDISS
Ruth Audiss, 87, of Chanute passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Heritage Nursing Home in Chanute.
Ruth was born in Iola, Kan., on Dec. 21, 1924, the daughter of Arthur and Edith (Fine) Conner.
She married Robert Audiss in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1997.
She was a homemaker.
Ruth is survived by her children, James Dalton of Wichita, Kan., and Ruth Utley of Chanute, Kan.; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Mefford; her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel in Chanute.
Burial services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel.
Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.
Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
