DRIVER

Dwight Adams Driver, 67, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at his home following a cancer illness.

He was born March 15, 1944, in Greenville, Miss., the son of Gilbert Lester and Edna Adams Driver. He married Lola Jean Wiggans on Sept. 5, 1974, in Miami, Okla.

He owned and operated D & D Sales Inc., trucking company in Fort Scott.

In his early years, Dwight enjoyed hunting. In later years he loved to fish. He recently finished restoring an original Harley Davidson golf cart.

He was a devoted father and uncle who will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife Jean of the home; three sons, James "Jimmy" Adams Driver of the home, Dwight Lester Driver and wife Teresea, Bronson, Kan., and Guy Adam Driver, Midway, Ky.; two daughters, Beth and Camille, Roseville, Calif.; one brother, Billy Driver and wife Pam, Wichita, Kan.; and three sisters, Jere McAleney and husband George, Fla., Dewie Robinson and husband Burt, Fla., and Vonda Kahill and husband Bill, Mass.

Also surviving are sister-in-law Laveta Simons and brother-in-law Jimmy Wiggans; two cousins, Saundra Temple and Darrell Adams, both of Texas; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; uncle J.E. Adams; and in-laws Virgil and Lola Wiggans.

There was cremation. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, in the Clarksburg Cemetery.
