FORT SCOTT, Kan. -- The Fort Scott Community College volleyball roster continues to grow as Coach Lindsay Hill added another commitment recently, bringing the total to nine for the 2011 season.

The latest signee is Erika Getz, a 5' 9" outside hitter from Parsons, Kan. Getz attends Parsons High School and was coached by Megan Mantooth. She participated in volleyball, basketball, and track and was also a member of FCA, Key Club, Sports Club and was President of SADD Club.

Getz was voted a co-captain this year for her volleyball team and earned First Team All-Southeast Kansas League honors.

Getz is planning to major in Athletic Training. She is the daughter of Dawn and Dave Pecha, and James and Misty Getz.

"Erika is an amazing athlete," Hill says. "She has been very successful in all three sports. Erika is another versatile athlete for our 2011 squad, however she will train mostly in the outside hitting position. Erika's presence on the court is very well known. She has that fire and attitude. We are really excited that Erika is a Greyhound."
