NORMA JEAN BEEBE

Norma Jean Beebe, age 74, resident of Wichita, Kan., died Monday morning, July 12, 2010, at the Haysville Health Care Center in Haysville, Kan.

She was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Jesse B. and Vera L. Davis Crane.

She married Charles Beebe in September, 1953. He preceded her in death in December, 2005.

Norma worked as a nurse's aid for over 30 years in Cottonwood Falls and Peabody, Kan. Her life was devoted to being a caregiver.

Among other games, Norma greatly enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include one brother, Sam Crane and wife Connie, Lone Star, Texas; three sisters, Audrey Proffitt, Pleasanton, Kan.; Louella Womelsdorf, Iola, Kan.; and Charlotte Shipley, West Plains, Mo.

Norma raised three foster children, Andrew, Samantha, and Diane as well as foster granddaughter Samantha.

Rev. Chuck Russell will conduct graveside services for Norma Beebe at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 16, in the Wood's Cemetery, Redfield, Kan.
