Charlyne L. Wilson, 76, of Fort Scott, passed away, Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at her home in Fort Scott.

Charlyne was born on Dec. 28, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo., daughter of Charles L. and Hazel E. (Radford) Maupin. She attended schools in Butler, Mo. Charlyne married Joseph D. Wilson, on May 17, 1950, in Huntsville, Ark. They were happily married for 53 years until he preceded in death on July 4, 2003.

She later worked for Dr. Hinshaw in Butler, and in Fort Scott she worked for Dr. Reed. She was a charter member of the Lady Elks in Butler, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Butler. She loved to dance and made Christmases special. Charlyne particularly liked games.

Joe and Charlyne enjoyed their retirement, where they spent winters in Port Aransas, Texas. They loved to be with their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and granddaughter, Shanna Lynn Stephan. She is survived by her children, Rebecca and husband Tim Stephan, of Fort Scott, Kristy and husband Gary Bolden, of Fort Scott, and Stacey and husband Larry Hauck, of Pittsburg, and Robin and husband Terry Stoughton, of Charlotte, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, at Mullinax Funeral, in Butler. A rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 16, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler.
