Juanita May Roosa, age 72, resident of Hemet, Calif., died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home.

She was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Shippensburg, Pa., the daughter of Ray Mervin Piper and Reba Irene Cooper Piper.

She married Harold E, Rossa, Jr. on June 24,1961, in Chambersbwg, Pa.

Juanita was retired as a truck driver for R & R Trucking. She was a member of the Antioch Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and the Eitcs Lodge.

Survivors include her husband Harold, of the home in Hemet; two sons: Harold Rossa III and Hans E. Rossa, both of San Jacinto, Calif.; one daughter: Haley Evans, Paola, Kan.; a half brother: Paul Piper, Roxbury, Penn.; half sister: Sherrie Piper-Gardner; and a brother in law: John Crider, Chambersburg, Penn. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Lisa Evans. She was preceded in death by a sister, Glorine Crider, and a half sister, Debbie Rae Piper.

Pastor Tim Davish will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m., Monday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the U. S. National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan.
