Michael Ray Clark, age 46, resident of Fort Scott, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Eldorado, Kan., following a cancer illness. He was born December 11, 1961 in Olathe, Kan., the son of Donald Clark and Charlotte Fairbanks Clark.

He had been self employed as a brick mason. He married Elizabeth Forester on June 6, 1980. They later divorced. Michael had become a strong believer in God and the Christian faith.

Survivors include his father, Donald Clark and his mother, Charlotte Fairbanks both of Fort Scott; four daughters, Tiffany Clark, Silsbee, Texas, Amy Hagan, Pittsburg, Kan., Michelle Clark and Amanda Clark, both of Hampton, Va. Also surviving is a brother, Rodney Clark, Fort Scott; sister LaDonna Clark, Raytown, Kan., maternal grandmother Marie Fairbanks of Fort Scott and seven grandchildren.

Pastor Larry Hagan will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 30, in the Cheney Witt Chapel.

Burial will follow in Dayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main.
