Paul "P.D." Weston, age 77, resident of rural Moran, Kansas, died early Monday, March 10, 2008, at Allen County Hospital in Iola, Kansas. He was born July 1, 1930, in Bourbon County, Kansas, the son of Charles Weston and Wilma Stradley Weston. He married Mary Frances Holeman on April 28, 1951, at the Dry Ridge Baptist Church. Paul had served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had worked for many years as a land contractor and farmer. He was a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church, the Bronson Masonic Lodge and the Kansas Land Improvement Contractors Association.

Survivors include a son, Bill Weston and wife, Karen, Gardner, Kansas; a daughter, Linda Clayborn and husband Dennis, Fort Scott; a daughter-in-law, Ann Weston, Moran; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Colwell and Hope Holeman, of Bronson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Don Weston.

The Rev. Georgia Hale will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, at the Bronson United Methodist Church. The eulogy will be given by Retta Smith. Burial with Masonic services will follow in the Bronson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm. Thursday at the Cheney Witt Bronson Chapel.
