JAMES HARRY 'HOP' HOPKINS

Hop Hopkins of Lake Jackson, Texas, devoted husband and father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, went to be with the Lord Oct. 26, 2007.

Hop was born in Fort Scott June 2, 1933 to Leo "Bus" and Margaret Hopkins. He moved to Lake Jackson, Texas in 1955 to work at Dow Chemical and has been a resident ever since.

Hop was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Margaret Hopkins, and his wife of 48 years, Lillian Ann Hopkins.

Hop is survived by his daughter, Lisa Ann Rickey, son Mark Hopkins of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandson, Justin Rickey of Arlington, Texas; granddaughter Jessica Rickey of Lake Jackson, Texas; great-grandson, Tyler Lane Van Cleave of Lake Jackson; brother and sister-in-law Leo and Kay Hopkins of Lake Jackson; sister and brother-in-law Kaye and Joe Norris of Walnut Grove, Mo.; uncle and aunt Fred and Lela Newcomb of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
