Margaret Mary Butler, age 58, resident of Fort Scott, died Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Fort Scott Medicalodge following a lengthy illness. She was born October 1, 1948 in Fort Scott, the daughter of John Dudley Reagan and Mary Virginia Rea Reagan. Margaret was a 1966 graduate of Fort Scott High School. She also graduated from the cosmetology department at Independence, Kansas Community College. Prior to her illness Margaret was employed as a loan processor for Citizens Bank. She married William Robert Butler on June 25, 1968 in Fort Scott. They later divorced. She was a member of the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Billie Marie Villa and husbands Alex, Marana, Arizona, and Beth Ann Kopin and husband Matthew, Buffalo, New York; two brothers, Thomas G. Regan, Kansas City, Missouri and C. Michael Reagan, Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Jacqueline Webster, Fort Scott and Patricia Spielbusch, St. Paul, Kansas. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Dakota Villa, Zachary Villa, Esmareldo Villa and Emma Kopin; numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents. Father Darrin May will conduct Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, in the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday in the Cheney Witt Chapel followed by family visitation.
