Beulah Sipe

Beulah Mae Sipe, age 90, longtime resident of Devon, more recently of Fort Scott, died Sunday, January 14, 2007. She was born May 12, 1916, in Elgin, the daughter of Charles Mumbower and Bertie Macher Mumbower. She married Frank Sipe in 1936 in Nevada, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was a member of the Devon United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, earning her 25 year pin. She enjoyed her home and her family most of all.

Beulah is survived by a son, Roger Sipe and wife Charlene, Fort Scott; a sister, Lucille Reynolds, Uniontown; two granddaughters, Leigh Ann Martin and husband Doug, Springfield, Missouri, and Kristy Ann Beshore and husband Tyson, Nevada, Missouri; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; a sister, Minnie Mumbower; and two brothers, Gilbert and Robert Mumbower.

Graveside services for Beulah Sipe will be held Thursday, January 18, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at the Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Cheney Witt Chapel on Thursday from 10 a.m. until leaving for the cemetery.
