Edith Alberta Uttinger, age 90, a resident of 905 S. National Ave., Fort Scott, Kansas, died Thursday, December 28, 2006, at Mercy Health Center.

She was born May 8, 1916, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Guy Robert Pryor and Gladys Idella Bates Pryor. She married Clifford L. Uttinger on November 3, 1934, in Nevada, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1990. Alberta was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved music and enjoyed the "Call On Me" Club.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Uttinger, Independence, Kansas; one daughter, Charlene Wallace and husband Harold, Fort Scott; and two sisters, Idella Graves and Wilma Huff, both of Fort Scott. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, a brother, Guy Pryor Jr, preceded her in death. The Rev. Kevin Moyers and the Rev. Deane Endicott will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
