Pair of Tiger golfers will tee off at state

Two Fort Scott High School golfers have qualified for the Class 4A Boys Golf State Championship May 22-23 at the Winfield-Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield.

Senior Jeremy Bower, who shot an 87 (15 over par) to tie for 10th place with Independence’s Gerald Mattes, and freshman Reece Roberts, who shot an 88 (16 over par) to finish 12th at the regional tournament held Monday in Coffeyville, will make the trip to state.
