Tiger boys, girls take seventh at Willard tourney

The Fort Scott Tiger boys’ and girls’ basketball teams picked up their first wins of the season on the last day of the annual Willard Basketball Classic on Saturday.

In the early game Saturday, the Lady Tigers (1-2) controlled the game for four quarters en route to a 51-24 victory over the Branson Lady Pirates. Playing in the next game on the slate, the Tiger boys (1-2) held on to notch a 48-45 win over the Camdenton Lakers. Both Tiger teams captured seventh place in the annual tournament with the wins.
