Eagles soar past Blu-Jays 14-6
The Uniontown Eagle varsity football team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 14-6 victory over the Pleasanton Blu-Jays Friday night in Pleasanton.
In a matchup of Three Rivers League teams, the Eagles controlled the first half, going up 14-0 at halftime. The Blu-Jays, now 0-3 on the season, scored their first points of the season late in the fourth quarter after being shut out in their first two games. The score came in the form of an impressive run by sophomore running back Karsten McKee with 3:12 left in the fourth quarter. The 2-point conversion failed that would have put the Blu-Jays within a touchdown of tying the game.
