Thomas (Tom) Headley, age 67, of Fort Scott, passed away on Friday June 26, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Muscogee, Okla. He had been in ill health due to an accident in December 2019. He was born on Oct. 8, 1952, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Lawrence and Pearl (Morrow) Headley. Tom, worked at the Bourbon County Road Crew, Ray Shepherd Motors, Craig Wood Construction, and hauled hay for many local farmers in the Hammond, Devon, and Fulton areas. He also was a volunteer firefighter in Devon, Kan. Tom would be known to stop and help anyone that needed it, he never knew a stranger. You could always see him on a lawn mower around Devon, Kan., as he loved to mow people’s yard. He loved to cook meat on his smoker and invite others to eat. He loved to sit over and visit at the “liars shack” with his brother-in-law Ted Wolf, and friends, Sam Evans, and Robert Robb.
