Extension office closed to walk-ins

Friday, March 20, 2020

In response to COVID-19 public health concerns, the Southwind Extension District Offices are closed to the public until further notice. However, Extension staff remain available to answer your questions with unbiased, research-based information and expertise on issues important to Kansas. No doubt, this is a time of challenge and change, but it is also an opportunity for Extension to focus on innovative efforts to keep the public informed. Even though the physical offices are closed to the public, Extension staff are working normal office hours, and your phone calls and emails will be answered in a timely fashion. We are following state and national COVID-19 guidelines by cancelling or postponing all K-State Research & Extension face-to-face events (workshops, club meetings, shows, etc.) conducted by Extension employees or our volunteers and targeted for our stakeholders through May 16. We expect County Fairs to continue as usual and look forward to a summer full of youth and adult programming, but will continue to monitor the situation and follow state and national protocols. You can find the Southwind Extension District on the web,www.southwind.ksu.edu or on Facebook at Southwind Extension District.
