Lady Tigers win; Tiger boys nipped by Bulldogs

The Fort Scott Lady Tiger varsity basketball team sealed a 41-30 win over the Independence Bulldogs with late free throws Friday night in Fort Scott.

In the second game of the varsity doubleheader, the Fort Scott Tiger boys (7-11) fell to Independence 49-47 in one overtime.

The Lady Tigers (5-13) led the entire game; 5-2 after one quarter, 17-12 at halftime, and 25-22 after three quarters of play.
