Schwalm prepares for the big feast

As she has done every year for the last two decades, Marjorie Schwalm is gathering the troops in an effort to serve Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of people for the holiday.

The 21st annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner, which Schwalm coordinates with the assistance of dozens of volunteers, is scheduled to take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elks Lodge, 111 W. 19th St.
