The Veterans Day Weekend was filled with several activities, beginning with a parade downtown Saturday, followed by the 1800s Grand Ball, hosted by the Friends of the Fort at Memorial Hall.

On Sunday, the Fort Scott Church of the Nazarene hosted a Veterans’ Sunday Service. In the evening, veterans could attend an Elvis impersonator concert for free.
