The Uniontown High School Eagle football team has grown from a rough start to the season, to winning the program’s first playoff game in 13 years.

The Eagles (4-5 overall) romped the Marion Warriors (2-6) Friday night in Uniontown, earning the No. 2 seeded Eagles a berth in regional play as part of the KSHSAA Class 1A State Football Championship. The Eagles will travel to Olpe to take on the 9-0 Eagles at 7 p.m. Friday.

Johnathan Stark, Uniontown’s first-year head coach, spoke with the Tribune about the team’s season and how the team has grown by overcoming challenges.
