Any doubt that Bourbon County officials had about whether the county might qualify for disaster relief funding might have been removed Tuesday afternoon.

Bourbon County Emergency Manager William Wallis met with county commissioners to report what he has discovered within the past week. Commissioners on June 4 passed a disaster declaration for damage that might have occurred during the May flooding.

In order to be considered for disaster relief to repair damaged public property, the county must meet a $57,000 threshold.
