Canaan Colby Rons was born into heaven at 11:07 a.m., May 8, at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg, Kan., weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces, 19 inches long, and with bright blonde hair. Our hearts our broken, but God gave us such a perfect baby boy that Earth was not worthy of him. He is the son of Chase and Allison (Piatt) Rons of Pittsburg. Other survivors include, maternal grandparents, Troy and Tonya Piatt of Fort Scott; maternal great grandparents, Larry and Jessie Hicks of Fort Scott, Ava and Don Phipts of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Gary Allison of El Dorado Springs, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Cinda and Tim McKibben of Arma, and Barry and Joy Rons of Michigan; paternal great grandparents, Wally and Betty Rons, Arma, and Fern Wratchford of Fort Scott; Uncle and Aunt, Blayne and Teresa Rons, Lyons; cousin, Brayden Rons, Lyons; He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Mace Piatt, maternal great grandmother, Sue Allison, and paternal great grandfather, John Wratchford. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Community Christian Church, Fort Scott, with pastor Kevin Moyers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Fort Scott. Memorials can be made to the Canaan Colby Rons Memorial Fund in care of Birzer-Rons Funeral Home, 214 West Ave. South, Lyons, KS 67554.
