Tiger baseball favored in SEK

Fort Scott High's baseball team is favored to win the Southeast Kansas League championship by a slim margin in a poll conducted by the Fort Scott Tribune.

The Tigers, four-time defending champions, received three first-place votes and five seconds for a total of 33 points. Pittsburg, with four firsts, two seconds and a fourth, scored 32. Chanute was picked third, Independence fourth, Labette County fifth, Parsons sixth and Coffeyville seventh.
