No. 18-ranked Iowa Central swept Fort Scott Community College softball Saturday in a non-conference doubleheader at the Betty Ruth Willard Complex. The Tritons took game one 22-9 and posted an 8-0 shutout in the second game.

Both teams scored 4 runs in the first inning of the opener and Fort Scott (5-8) held a 6-4 lead after two. But a 6-run fourth put Iowa Central (3-4) ahead 11-6 and the Tritions also added 9 in the top of the seventh.

Cheyenne Brewer was 3 for 4 at the plate for the Greyhounds, scoring twice. Lauren Scott hit a pair of home runs, her first two of the season, and drove in 4 runs. Hayley Bledsoe was 2 for 4.

The Tritons scored 5 runs in the top of the second inning of game two. Two Triton pitchers combined on a no-hitter. Lexi Binder struck out 6 batters and walked 2 in four innings. Paige Siewert struck out 2 in three innings.
