Virgil Richard Crays

Virgil Richard Crays, age 79, resident of Uniontown, Kan., died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at his home. He was born on Jan. 21, 1937, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Virgil Claire Crays and Helen Louise Elbrader Crays. Richard married Corrine Louise Williams on May 5, 1958 in Fort Scott. He was employed as a carpenter and work on his own farm. He loved to hunt big game and fish especially for trout in Colorado. Richard and Corrine lived for many years in Colorado as well as Kansas.

In addition to his wife, Corrine, survivors include a daughter, Brenda Mutschelknaus and husband Tom of Columbia, Calif.; two grandsons, Justin Cameron and wife Jane, and Nathan Cameron. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Renee Cameron, Aaric Cameron, Adalee Cameron and Katarina Boyd. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Betty Marie Jajdelswki.

According to Richard's wishes, there was cremation with no services planned. His cremains will be scattered in the Colorado Mountains. Arrangements are under the direction of Cheney Witt Chapel.
