Tiger soccer falls to Bulldogs

Fort Scott High School's soccer team suffered a 6-0 loss to Independence in a Southeast Kansas League match Thursday at Ellis Park.

It was the Tigers' third loss of the week. They were shut out by Spring Hill, 10-0, at Lions Field on Monday and lost at Pittsburg in a Tuesday Southeast Kansas League match, 5-1.

Independence (3-0-0 SEK, 8-0-1 overall) moved into a tie for first place in the SEK with Pittsburg. Fort Scott fell to 0-5-0 in the league and 1-10-0 overall.

Zack Schroeder and Sam Hilger had 2 goals each for the Bulldogs.

The Tigers will play a home league match versus Coffeyville at 4:30 Tuesday.
