Simmons tops 1st Flight at weekend scramble

Landon Simmons won the First Flight in a scramble tournament held at Woodland Hills Golf Course over the weekend. He shot a 63 to win the group and claim an $80 prize.

Jon Kindelsparger and Chuck Scammell tied for second with scores of 65. A tie-breaker was used to award Kindelsparger second place and a $60 prize. Scammell received $30 for finishing third.

Greg King was the winner of the Second Flight and won $80 after shooting 69. Tracy Smith and Rex Hall also recorded scores of 69 with Smith awarded second place and $60. Hall received $30 for third place.

There was also a three-way tie broken in the Third Flight after the top three all shot 75. Travis Schilling was awarded first place and $80, Jay Leek second and $60 and Trammell third and $30.

Jayce Simons won the closest-to-the-pin contest on No. 3. Leek won the contest on No. 7, Simons was the winner on No. 11 and Trammell claimed the prize on No. 15. Each of them received $30.
