Wilda Carol Sanborn Wilson, age 68, a resident of Fort Scott, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at her home surrounded by her children. She was born December 16, 1947, in Borger, Texas, the daughter of Shirley Alanzo Sanborn and Helen Christine Coyle Sanborn. Carol graduated from Fort Scott High School with the class of 1965. She then graduated from Fort Scott Community College. In earlier years, Carol had worked as a dental hygienist. She was also an equestrian who enjoyed breaking and training horses. For several years, she had worked as an assistant at the Lyon's Mansion and had helped with decorating, curtain making and upholstery along with other duties. Above all, she was a devoted mother who loved the Lord. Carol was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed making clothing for her children. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fishing. She also liked to shop and was known for collecting purses.
