HAYS -- No matter what Uniontown freshman Graham Hathaway would go on to accomplish at the Kansas Class 3-2-1A State Wrestling Tournament here, he has already made school history by being the first Eagle to qualify for a State tournament. Uniontown's wrestling program began last season.

Hathaway, who came into State with a 23-12 record, took the mat in the first round Friday morning against Theron Tucker, a freshman from SO. Tucker won by pin just 30 seconds into the match.

That put Hathaway into the consolation bracket and a match against freshman Brandon Rohr of Plainville, who pinned Hathaway with six seconds remaining in the match. That eliminated Hathaway and ended his quest for a medal.
