Wednesday, November 25, 2015
Fort Scott High School senior Cassidy Westhoff (seated, center) signed a letter of intent to run cross country and track at Pittsburg State University beginning in the fall of 2015. Westhoff has been one of the top runners in Class 4A for most of her varsity career for the Tigers. With Cassidy as she signed were (clockwise from top) Fort Scott head cross country and girls' track coach Tracey Bogina and her parents, Don and Lynette Westhoff. Westhoff will join former FSHS runners Paige Denton on both teams and Katren Rienbolt on the track team. Denton finished 24th at the MIAA championships this season. (Scott Nuzum/Tribune)
