UJH girls' teams drop first two games of season

Uniontown Junior High girls' basketball opened the season last week with home games against Westphalia and Northeast Arma.

The Eagles' dropped both the A and B team games.

Against Westphalia on Nov. 9, the Uniontown B team fell, 28-13. Becky Goebel and Jada Allen each scored 4 points.

The A team game was tighter, but the Eagles fell, 28-22. Karleigh Schoenberger led Uniontown with 6 points.

Against Northeast on Nov. 12, the B team game went down to the final moments, with the Eagles just missing out in a 21-20 setback. Breanna Stokes paced Uniontown with 8 points while Paige Mason added 6 points.

UJH dropped the A team game, 20-13, despite 6 points from Karleigh Schoenberger.

The Eagles play on the road twice this week. They play at Jayhawk-Linn today and at Northeast Thursday. Following that, they'll play five straight home games before the holiday break.

Results from boys' games were not reported at press time.
