Roberta Louise DeCoudres Armstrong

Roberta Louise DeCoudres Armstrong, age 62, resident of Arlington, Texas, passed away at her home on Oct.12, 2015. She had been fighting cancer for the last year.

She was born Sept. 8, 1953 in Fort Scott, to Clayton and Dorothy DeCoudres. She attended Fort Scott Senior High and graduated in 1971. On Oct. 29, 1972, she married Stan Armstrong, also of Fort Scott. In 1977, they relocated to Arlington, Texas. For 27 years, she was employed by EPA in Dallas, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Stan Armstrong; her children, Adam Armstrong and his wife, Amy; Scott Armstrong; granddaughter Katelyn Armstrong; all of Texas. A sister, Betty Hixon; mother-in-law Agnes Armstrong, both of Fort Scott; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There was cremation. A memorial service was held on Oct. 17, 2015, at Heritage Baptist Church of Haslet, Texas, where Roberta was a Charter Member and played piano for the church for the last 14 years.
