Jason E. Silvers/Tribune photo Adam Feltman, site superintendent, prepares to unload more dirt and debris from the football field at Frary Field, the USD 234 stadium, Friday afternoon.

A stadium improvement package that includes new lights, field turf and other improvements began June 1 and is part of the approved $40.8 million USD 234 school bond issue. Crews have been digging up the current field and will later install new turf, drainage, goalposts and amendments. The project is expected to take about two months to complete.
