John Sherman Scott, Sr., age 75, resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

Rev. Kevin Moyers and Pastor Tim Woodring will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the Community Christian Church. Following cremation, burial will take place at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Lake Fort Scott Siren Fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, PO Box 347, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kansas 66701.
