Bonnie Christine Marshall, age 79, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Mercy Hospital fort Scott. She was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Roy Williams and Katherine Leverton Williams. He mother died at her birth and she was raised by her father and step-mother, Ruth Williams. Bonnie married Everitt Leroy Marshall on Jan. 19, 1951, at Fort Scott. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2012. Bonnie had worked as an aide at area nursing homes and at Mercy Hospital. She later was employed by Walmart. She enjoyed taking trips to Branson and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended the Life Point Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two children; Judy Cooper and husband, Mike and Shawn Marshall and wife Chana, all of Fort Scott; and a daughter-in-law Carla Marshall, Springfield, Mo. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Stacy Leachner and husband, Chad, Melissa Ward and husband, Matt, Matt Cooper and Cambria Thompson; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Marshall.

William James Schafer will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 at the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends may meet at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S.
