Leora Ross
Leora Ross, age 84, of Kincaid, Kan., passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1930, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Walter Everle and Agnes (Mackie) Bruner. She graduated from Blue Mound High School.
Leora was united in marriage to Verne Keith Ross on July 6, 1949, in Iola, Kan. This union was blessed with one daughter.
Leora was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Agnes Bruner; husband, Verne Ross on May 16, 2013; two sisters, Mary Josephine Bruner; Pauline Badders; and one brother, Virgil Bruner; and most recently her twin sister, Lorraine Wilcox on Sept. 11, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Carleen Brooks of Iola, Kan.; three sisters, Shirley Ball and friend Cliff Wells of Garnett, Kan.; Marilyn Bruner of Fort Scott, Kan.; Venita Miller of Kincaid, Kan.; sister-in-law, Freda Bruner of Mound City, Kan.; two brothers, Willard Bruner and wife Darla and Joe Bruner, all of Fort Scott, Kan.; and brother-in-law, W.H. Wilcox of Paola, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran, Kan. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Mildred, Kan. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Hospice, 326 E.
