Donna Jane Carson

Donna Jane Carson, age 56, resident of Fort Scott, died Friday May 16, 2014, at the Fort Scott Manor. She was born July 25, 1957, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Emil Young and Virginia Moyer Young. Donna married Jack Carson, March 30, 1976. They later divorced. She enjoyed reading, painting, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include four daughters, Jackie Feagins, Fort Scott; Jamie Beckman, Afton, Okla.; Jessica Carson, Fort Scott; and Jeannie Carson, Fort Scott. A brother Bob Young, Wimberly, Texas; sister Sarah Croan, Lane, Kan.; and seven grandchildren, Bailley, Bryce, Brett, Samantha, Adryan, Amber, and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Gary and Raymond Young, sisters Patty Brandon and Cathy Page.

There was cremation. Pastor Rick Womack will conduct graveside services, 1 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery.
