Tammy Helm/Tribune photo Two quilts with variations of the Log Cabin design are on display in front of the Reconciliation Quilt.

The Reconciliation Quilt, a post-Civil War quilt, is now on display in Grand Hall at the Fort Scott National Historic Site. The display is open from 11 to 3 p.m. today and Sunday and April 4-6. The Reconciliation Quilt was created in 1867 by Lucinda Ward Honstain. The quilt being displayed is a reproduction created by Hortense Beck of Topeka in 1995. Also on display are many Log Cabin quilts, which are part of the International Quilt Study Center's Education Collection.
