Eagles keep Jets out of win column

BUFFALO -- Uniontown's girls kept Altoona-Midway out of the win column here Tuesday night with a 64-23 victory in Three Rivers League play.

The boys' result was not available by press time.

Emily Shinn and Shalina Harper scored 14 points each for the Eagles (5-3 TRL, 9-9 overall), who led 18-8 after one period and 34-17 at the half.

Mandie Ridge grabbed 12 rebounds for Uniontown.

The Eagles held the Jets (0-5, 0-14) to 6 points in the second half.

Altoona-Midway lost for the 23rd straight time in league play and 34th overall. The Jets' last league win was over Northeast in February 2011.
