Yvette Denise Prinkey-Dunbar

Yvette Denise Prinkey-Dunbar, age 57, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room. She was born Oct. 27, 1956, at Mt. Pleasant, Pa. Yvette received her BA degree in chemistry and also was a registered nurse. She had made her home in various states including, New York, California and North Carolina. Yvette moved to Kansas in 2004. She had worked as a home health and hospice nurse in up-state New York and in Louisiana. Yvette enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with her horse, Willow.

Survivors include her mother, Janet Prinkey, of Fort Scott; three sisters, her identical twin, Yvonne Rhames and husband, Gordon, of Greenville, N.C., Dawn Renee Evans, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Vicki L. Tureskis and husband, Tim, Fort Scott, Kan. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Father Robert Wachter will conduct Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
