Harold Arthur Quick

Harold Arthur Quick, age 94, of Odessa, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at the Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Grove, Mp. Harold was born on April 6, 1919, in Independence, Mo., to Fredrick Herbert and Angie Mae (Dennis) Quick. After graduating high school, Harold was united in marriage to Nellie Evelyn (White) Quick on July 15, 1939, in Mapleton, Kan. Nellie preceded him in death on Aug. 6, 2008. They moved to Quincy, Wash., where he retired from Philips 66 Co-Op as a Salesman and Petroleum Driver. After retirement Harold and Nellie moved to Surprise, Ariz., before moving to Odessa. He also worked as a farmer and in the orchards. He served as an elder of the Odessa Restoration Branch.

Survivors include two children, Tom Quick of Sedalia, Mo., and Jeannette Jolley of Marysville, Wash.; eight grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Quick of Fort Scott, Kan.; and a sister Nelda Boyd of Mesa, Ariz. In addition to his parents and wife, Harold was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Quick and a sister, Norma Jean Quick.

There was cremation. Memorial services were held Dec. 28, 2013, at the Odessa Restoration Branch Church in Odessa, Mo.. Elder David Nickelson will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, in the Barnesville Cemetery, Fulton, Kan. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main.
