Wanita Faye Sluder

Wanita Faye Sluder, age 81, of Mound City, Kan., died Sunday Oct. 6, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1932 at Iola, Kan., the daughter of Lloyd and Opal Dizmang Morrell. She married Joseph Sluder on Feb. 23, 1951 at Wichita, Kan., he preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2003. Wanita worked as a seamstress for Braemoores, was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church, the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, was an avid sewer and reader and loved the Kansas City Royals. She was also preceded in death by her Parents: Lloyd and Opal Morrell and a brother Vernon Morrell. Survivors include two sons: John Sluder and Jean of Blue Mound, Kan., and Marvin Sluder and Susie of Stark, Kan.; three daughters: Terry Kern and Ken of Riverside, Mo., Marjorie Moore of Raytown, Mo., and Rose Anne Carrow and Pat of Independence, Mo., seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
