Enbridge Energy Company, Inc., has selected its contractors and has now released anticipated start dates for construction of the Flanagan South Pipeline Project. The project is an approximately 600-mile, 36-inch diameter new interstate crude oil petroleum pipeline, beginning in Pontiac, Ill., and terminating in Cushing, Okla.

The project, slated to begin Aug. 7 about 3.75 miles north of Mound City, which Enbridge calls its 'spread four location," will run a short distance near Highway 3 and Yellowstone Road in northwest Bourbon County. That section of the project will continue through to Cushing, Okla., according to an Enbridge press release.
