Echoes of the Trail bringing wagons, pies, cowboy singers, poets

The Old West is sure to come to life during the 17th annual Echoes of the Trail Cowboy Gathering set for June 7-9.

This year's event will include a trail ride that will be filmed and later televised on "Best of America by Horseback" on the RFD-TV network, a cowboy poet and singer contest, a pie baking contest, a silent auction of donated items, cowboy singing and tales, a kids' poetry contest, a trade show, a chuck wagon, cowboy church and many other activities.

All activities are scheduled to take place in the Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center at Fort Scott Community College, 2108 S. Horton.
