Eagle softball sweeps Marmaton Valley

UNIONTOWN -- Uniontown's softball team swept Marmaton Valley in Three Rivers League play, 15-0 and 10-1, at George Warren Field here Tuesday.

Jamie Dawson led the Eagles with 3 hits in game one while Torrie Hathaway had 2. Taylor Wade struck out 5 batters in three innings as the game was shortened by run rule.

Hathaway had 3 hits in the second game while Wade, Lakyn Coyan, Brit Stokes, Taylor Cooper and Haley Felt each had 2. Wade struck out 6 batters.

The Eagles will play Thursday night at Hume, Mo. This will be a single game rather than a doubleheader with a 6:30 p.m. start.
