Paul Dwayne Davis, age 71, a resident of Uniontown, Kan., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at his home in Uniontown. He was born Nov. 2, 1941, at Fort Scott, Kan, the son of Walter G. Davis and Birdiew E. Gruver Davis. He married Sonja Kay Ford on Oct. 27, 1969. She preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 2009. Paul had worked in maintenance at Extrustions for over thirty years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, motorcycles, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren as well as going to the casinos.

Survivors include his children, Adam Davis and wife, Katie, Drexel, Mo., and Nicole "Nikki" Davis, of Uniontown; five grandchildren, Blaine Ross, Bryleigh Ross, Jaxon Davis, Kayd Davis and Addison Davis. Also surviving is a sister, Wanda Embry of Fort Scott. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and Jack Davis and two sisters, Violet Burdette and Mynettia "Ann" Gannon.

Rev. Chuck Russell will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2nd at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Mercy Hospital Foundation and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S.
