Leonard Albert White, age 90, resident of Cavalry Crossing, Fort Scott, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Mercy Hospital. He was born March 3, 1922, in Fulton, Kan., the son of James Henry White and Phoebe Dorsey White. He Married Betty Smith on January 29, 1942, in Redfield, Kan. He served our country in the United States Army. He retired from Western Insurance Company where he worked as an underwriter for many years. Although he was a gifted athlete in high school, he always put the team first, shunning individual recognition. Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and other sports, especially KU basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He attended Grace Baptist Tabernacle in previous years, more recently attending Hope Chapel until health became an issue.
