Martha Lee Spurling Arnold

Martha Lee Spurling Arnold, age 71, resident of Medicalodge, died Saturday, February 02, 2013, at Fort Scott Mercy Hospital. She was born January 31, 1942 in Dade County, Mo., the daughter of Clayton H. Spurling and Erma L. Menzies Spurling. Martha married Bobbie Arnold. She was a member of the First Church of God. She loved to paint and had her artwork displayed at last year's showing. She also loved to play bingo and visit with anyone.

Survivors include her husband, Bobbie, Fort Scott and a sister Betty Dvorak, Hemet, California. Also surviving are several cousins and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Spurling.

Rev. Phil Wilson will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
